D1 top team - Al Kuwait (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Salmiyah (2-5) in Kuwait City 70-41. Undefeated Al Kuwait have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Al Salmiyah at the other side keeps the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Al Jahraa.
Bottom-ranked Al Tadhamon is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to tenth ranked Al Jahraa (2-5) 93-64. Al Jahraa moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Al Salmiyah. Al Tadhamon at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost.
Top-ranked Al Qadsia blasted bottom-ranked Al Shabab (0-7) in Al Ahmadi 103-45 on Friday evening keeping the perfect record after 12 rounds. Al Shabab is still unable to win any game. Undefeated Al Qadsia (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row having 2 victories less than leader Al Kuwait. Loser Al Shabab still closes the standings with seven games lost.

In the last game of round 12 Al Sahel was beaten by Kazma on the road 65-60.

Al Kuwait - Al Salmiyah 70-41

There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games. The biggest surprise took place in An Nasr where host Al Nasar (3-4) edged league's leader Al Kuwait (6-1) 69-66 on Wednesday evening. D1 Round 7: Al Arabi beats Al Yarmook by two after a very close game - 7 days ago
Coincidentally all visitors won their games. The most exciting game of round 7 in the D1 took place in Yarmouk. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Al Yarmook (1-4) to fifth ranked Al Arabi (4-2) 72-70 on Thursday evening.
