22-year old center Vladimir Ivanov (203-C-94) had a great game in the last round for Okzetpes (they play in Places 5-10) and receives a Asia-basket.com Higher League Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 41 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Okzetpes in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Irtysh (#9, 2-8) with 26-point margin 86-60. Okzetpes maintains the 7th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Okzetpes will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Ivanov had a remarkable 76.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Okzetpes' top player in his first season with the team. Ivanov has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.7ppg and leads league in rebounds with 11.1rpg. Ivanov is in league's top in and averages solid 2.6spg and 59.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ilyas Zhunussov (175-PG-98) of Barsy-2. He is a guard in his first season at Barsy-2. In the last game Zhunussov recorded impressive 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Barsy-2 was edged by slightly higher-ranked Bars (#5, 9-1) 89-86. Barsy-2 are still at the very bottom. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Zhunussov is a newcomer at Barsy-2 and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Egor Biryulin (186-PG-86) of Tigers Ast. (#8). Biryulin got into 30-points club by scoring 39 points in the last round. Despite Biryulin's great performance Tigers Ast. lost 83-99 to Okzetpes (6-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tigers Ast. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Biryulin has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.0ppg (9th best) and assists with 5.1apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Vladimir Voeykov (184-G-89) of Bars - 33 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Askar Ahmetzhan (196-F-97) of Irtysh - 29 points and 2 rebounds
6. Samat Karbayev (194-F-89) of Okzetpes - 28 points and 11 rebounds
7. Roman Mineev (177-PG-98) of Okzetpes - 25 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Askar Maidekin (205-C-97) of Barsy-2 - 22 points and 10 rebounds
9. Vladislav Strikhan (196-F-99) of Okzetpes - 24 points and 10 rebounds
10. Ilya Koptelov (194-G/F-88) of Tigers Ast. - 27 points

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
