There will be only one (last) round of the Second Stage in Higher League. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and games ending by tiny margin.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Bars (9-1) in Kokshetau on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Okzetpes (6-4) 87-81. Worth to mention a great performance of center Vladimir Ivanov (203-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Roman Mineev (177-98) contributed with 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Vladimir Voeykov (184-89) replied with 20 points for Bars. Okzetpes maintains seventh position with 6-4 record, which they share with Tigers Ast. Bars at the other side keep the fifth place with one game lost. Okzetpes is looking forward to face Irtysh (#9) in Pavlodar in the next round. Bars will play at home against Barsy-2 (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Atyrau. Fifth ranked Bars (9-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Barsy-2 (7-3) 89-86 in the fight for the fifth place. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Vladimir Voeykov (184-89) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Valentin Kirilin who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Ilyas Zhunussov (175-98) responded with 29 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bars maintains fifth position with 9-1 record. Barsy-2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with three games lost. Bars will play against Tigers Ast. (#8) in Astana in the next round. Barsy-2 will play again on the road against Bars in Petropavlovsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Kaspiy-2 is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to eighth ranked Tigers Ast. (6-4) 96-48 on Tuesday evening. The winners were led by Evgeniy Ermakov who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds. Even 20 points by Bogdan Ivanchikin did not help to save the game for Kaspiy-2. Tigers Ast. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Okzetpes. Loser Kaspiy-2 still closes the standings with ten games lost. Tigers Ast. will meet at home higher ranked Bars (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kaspiy-2 will play again against Tigers Ast. (#8) in Astana and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Loser Kaspiy-2 still closes the standings with ten games lost. Irtysh will face higher ranked Okzetpes (#7) in Kokshetau in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kaspiy-2 will play on the road against Tigers Ast. in Astana and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 4 were not that significant. Irtysh was smashed by Okzetpes on the road 86-60. Barsy-2 won against Irtysh on its own court 81-65. Okzetpes managed to outperform Tigers Ast. in Kokshetau 99-83. Tigers Ast. managed to beat Irtysh at home 81-69. Bars defeated Irtysh on the opponent's court 80-67. Bars beat Tigers Ast. in a home game 62-58. Okzetpes lost to Barsy-2 on the road 64-72. Winless Kaspiy-2 were outscored by Barsy-2 on its own court 42-69. Tigers Ast. managed to beat Barsy-2 in Astana 68-61. Okzetpes crushed Kaspiy-2 at home 107-59.

Okzetpes - Irtysh 86-60

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Okzetpes (6-4) crushed 9th ranked Irtysh (2-8) in Kokshetau 86-60 on Tuesday. Okzetpes forced 24 Irtysh turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for center Vladimir Ivanov (203-94) who helped to win the game recording 41 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). Point guard Roman Mineev (177-98) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. I Eremenko replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Askar Ahmetzhan (196-97) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Irtysh.
