American Ian Miller (190-G-91, agency: Two Points) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Astana and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 25-year old guard had the game-high 25 points adding four rebounds and eight assists for Astana in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Kaspiy Aktau (#3, 0-12) with 26-point margin 83-57. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Astana to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Astana still have not lost a single game, getting all 12 victories. In the team's last game Miller had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Astana's top player in his first season with the team. Florida State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Miller is in league's top in points (4th best: 15.8ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.3apg) and averages solid 3.8spg,55.6% FGP and 41.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Astana's star - 25-year old American forward Roderick Odom (206-F-91). Odom impressed basketball fans with 25 points and 3 assists. Of course together with Miller he helped Astana with another comfortable win outscoring Kaspiy Aktau (#3, 0-12) 92-57. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Astana consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. He plays for the best team in the league and Astana managed to win all 12 games keeping a perfect record. Odom is a newcomer at Astana and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.5ppg (#5). He also registered 4.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Astana's star - former international forward Aleksandr Zhigulin (204-F-94). Zhigulin scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was another key player of Astana, helping his team with a 92-57 easy win against #3 ranked Kaspiy Aktau. Astana have amazing season winning all 12 games without a single defeat. Zhigulin turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Zhigulin has a very solid season. In 12 games in Kazakhstan he scored 6.6ppg.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Kazakhstan have won the Victory Cup with 6 participating teams in Kyrgyzstan. In one of the key games they overcame Kyrgyzstan 76-67. Maxim Rakovskih (188-G-00) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Vasilii Belozor as well as Victor Verzun (01) had 16 each.
