An interesting game for Barsy Atyrau (4-4) which hosted in Atyrau one of their biggest challengers Kaspiy Aktau (0-8). Second ranked Barsy Atyrau had an easy win 80-62. Barsy Atyrau made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Kaspiy Aktau turnovers. It was a good game for American point guard Trevin Parks (180-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 5 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). The former international power forward Mikhail Yevstigneyev (201-84) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Shaim Kuanov (181-91) replied with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Kaspiy Aktau. Defending champion maintains second position with 4-4 record having four points less than leader Astana. Kaspiy Aktau at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Barsy Atyrau will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kaspiy Aktau will play at home against the league's leader Astana and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Kazakhstan have won the Victory Cup with 6 participating teams in Kyrgyzstan. In one of the key games they overcame Kyrgyzstan 76-67.
