An interesting game for Kapshagay (8-1) which played road game in Shymkent against 4th ranked Kazygurt (5-4). Third ranked Kapshagay had an easy win 96-66. Kapshagay dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kazygurt's 36 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kazygurt 40-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Kapshagay looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Vyacheslav Raguyev (195-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Daniil Seleznev (186-90) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Ulykbek Polatov (189-98) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds for Kazygurt. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kapshagay have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Almat.Legion and Tobol. Kazygurt at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Bars.
Higher League top team - Almat.Legion (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Barsy-2 (4-5) in Alma-Ata 110-56. Swingman Ruslan Aitkali (195-97) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Yuriy Kozhanov chipped in 28 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side international center Askar Maidekin (205-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Almat.Legion have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record, which they share with Tobol and Kapshagay. Barsy-2 at the other side keeps the sixth place with five games lost.

Tobol have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Almat.Legion and Kapshagay. Loser Bars dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Kazygurt.

In the last game of round 10 Okzetpes beat Irtysh on the road 61-51.


Irtysh - Okzetpes 51-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Okzetpes' (3-6) road victory over 9th ranked Irtysh (1-8) in Pavlodar 61-51 on Friday. Okzetpes forced 22 Irtysh turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Vladimir Ivanov (203-94) notched 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and forward Samat Karbayev (194-89) supported him with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Even 11 points by swingman Ilya Sidorenko (193-98) did not help to save the game for Irtysh. Swingman Vitaly Prihodchenko (195-98) added 10 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Okzetpes moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tigers Ast. Irtysh lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost.

Almat.Legion dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Barsy-2's 28 and made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Almat.Legion forced 27 Barsy-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 54-30 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Barsy-2's players.
