Higher League top team - Almat.Legion (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Kaspiy-2 (0-7) in Aktau 122-36. Almat.Legion dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Kaspiy-2's 22 and had 21 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Kaspiy-2 only scored two points from the stripe. Almat.Legion forced 34 Kaspiy-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 48-15 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kaspiy-2's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Alexander Danilchenko (203-97) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Ruslan Aitkali (195-97) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. point guard Leonid Kachaev (185-96) answered with 14 points for Kaspiy-2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Almat.Legion have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Tobol and Kapshagay. Kaspiy-2 at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Almat.Legion will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kaspiy-2 will play on the road against Kapshagay (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Barsy-2 was beaten by Kapshagay on the road 84-76. Irtysh lost to Bars on its own court 61-75. Tigers Ast. was outscored by Tobol in Kostanay 47-78.

Kapshagay - Barsy-2 84-76

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Kapshagay (6-1) beat at home 5th ranked Barsy-2 (3-3) 84-76 on Tuesday. Kapshagay dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Barsy-2's 40. Kapshagay forced 22 Barsy-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 32 personal fouls committed by Barsy-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for point guard Daniil Seleznev (186-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Valentin Rogatkin (196-88) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Four Kapshagay players scored in double figures. Forward Artem Parfenov (196-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and forward Ilyas Nagimov (201-99) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Barsy-2. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kapshagay keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Almat.Legion and Tobol. Loser Barsy-2 keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Bars. Kapshagay is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Kaspiy-2 (#10) in Aktau in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barsy-2 will play on the road against Kazygurt (#4) in Shymkent and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Irtysh (1-6) lost to sixth ranked Bars (3-3) in Pavlodar 61-75 on Tuesday. Bars forced 27 Irtysh turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Vladimir Voeykov (184-89) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!). Guard Rustam Galimov (189-85) contributed with 13 points, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Swingman Vitaly Prihodchenko (195-98) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Stanislav Rovoviy (196-92) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Irtysh. Irtysh's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bars moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Barsy-2. Irtysh lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. Bars is looking forward to face Okzetpes (#7) in Kokshetau in the next round. Irtysh will play at home against Tigers Ast. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Tobol forced 24 Tigers Ast. turnovers and outrebounded them 37-21 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Anton Bykov (200-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Vasiliy Petrashinets (198-89) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
