Philippines beat Kazakhstan in Buyant-Ukhaa arena in Day 2 of the 22nd FIBA Asia U18 Championship. They grabbed 2-0 record after 83:69 victory. Kazakhstan grabbed 9:8 in the first five minutes of the game, while the games was tied at 18:18 at the end of the first period. Kazakhstan again took 27:26 midway through the second frame, but failed later in the half. Philippines erupted for 38:30 lead at the halftime, but then again Kazakhstan tied it all at 46:46. Philippines meanwhile managed to take 55:52 after three quarters played. They continued their dominance in the last quarter and reached the victory. Mario Bonleon top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Rodolfo Alejandro (175-G-95) nailed 18. SUAREZ Janus kyle posted 14, while CANI Janhubert angelo scored 10. Alexey Kurochka (185-G-94) and Alymzhan Maxutov (183-G-94) replied with 22 points each. Maxim Marchuk (195-F/G-94) nailed 14, while ZHUMA BEK Birzhan scored 5.

Andreas Glyniadakis showed 7.1 points per game in VTB league. He played for the team one season coming from Olympiacos. Nemanja Jaramaz is a Serbian player who spent half of the year with the team. He tallied 15.6 points and 9.6 rebounds per game at the tournament.
