Irtysh joined Astana Tigers in D1 Final. They overcame Okzhetpes in the fourth game of the semifinal series to complete 3-1 victory. Okzhetpes stayed hopeful after a 74:70 win in Game 3. The Kokshetau team manahed to recover from an 8-point deficit ten minutes into the game to clinch a tough win at the end. Irina Rastorgueva (180-C-76) scored 31 points to lead the effort. Alisa Ievtushenko (191-C-89, agency: LBM Management) added 17 points for the hosts. Tamara Seregina (182-F-90) responded with 28 points for Irtysh. But the fourth game belonged to Irtysh. The visitors started it strongly building a 46:30 halftime advantage. Okzhetpes tried to bounce back in the third term as they narrowed the deficit to 8 points. But Irtysh did not give the home team a single chance in the fourth period cruising to the victory 84:68 at the end. Tamara Seregina stepped up with 24 points for Irtysh. Nadezhda Kondrakova (192-C-89) added 14 points in the winning effort. Irina Polunina (176-G-79) had 26 points for Okzhetpes.
