    Astana captured the National League title. They overcame Barsy Atyrau in the Final tonight. Robert Lowery (188-PG-87, college: Dayton) scored 25 points, issued 7 assists and grabbed 6 rebounds to pace the winners.
    Astana eked out a 20:18 lead after the opening frame. They unloaded 27 points in the second term to secure a 12-point halftime lead. Astana maintained the lead throughout the third quarter. They entered the final stanza up by 13 points. Astana poured in 25 points in the fourth stanza and rolled to the victory. Dmitriy Gavrilov (203-F-86) produced 18 points, while Ian Miller (190-G-91, college: Florida St., agency: BeoBasket) contributed 17 points and 10 assists for the champions. Trevin Parks (180-PG-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) responded with 27 points for Barsy Atyrau. Mikhail Yevstigneyev (201-F/C-84) had 15 points in the loss.

    Astana celebrate National Cup title - Mar 12, 2017


    Astana celebrate National Cup title as they won all the games of the campaign. In the Final game tonight Astana won over Barsy Atyrau 66-46.
    Astana went on an 18-8 surge from the start of the game and never looked behind after. The opponents replied with a 16-15 rally in the second period, while both teams notched 14 points each in the third frame. Astana managed to post a final 19-8 surge in the last stanza to seal the victory.
    Dmitriy Gavrilov (203-F-86) top-scored for the winners with 17 points, while Rustam Yargaliev (195-G/F-86) notched 13. Pavel Ilin (196-F/G-92) replied with 10 points in the losing effort, whilst Mikhail Yevstigneyev (201-F/C-84) added 9.
