The biggest surprise of round 7 was guest Al Horiyah's (2-2) road victory over 3rd placed Al Awdah (1-3) 71-69 on Wednesday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Al Awdah was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Al Horiyah moved-up to second place, which they share with Orthodox. Al Awdah lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Al Horiyah is looking forward to face league's leader Al Riyadi in Amman in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Awdah will play on the road against the league's second-placed Orthodox in Amman and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Al Ahli celebrate League 2017/2018 title - 14 days ago
Al Ahli celebrated Jordan Basketball League 2017/2018 title. In the Final stage they beat kafr yoba 82-80 in the last game. Being tied at 62:62 both teams stayed within 1-2 points at the end of the game as Al Ahli grabbed the valuable win. Later Al Riyadi Aramex beat Jazira 82-75 and Orthodox edged Star Jordan 93-82. Al Wihdat overcame AL Jubaiha 102-80.   [read more]

WABA Champions Cup 2018 relocated to Jordan from Iraq - 3 months ago
West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) officials have announced that the WABA Champions Cup 2018 will be relocated to Jordan from Iraq - with the tournament dates remaining March 12-16. The WABA decided to change the hosting country of the 18th edition of the Champions Cup due to security concerns of the players in Baghdad.
