Premier League Round 6: Orthodox is defeated by Al Jalil - Jan 23, 2016

The most important game in the last round took place in between third ranked Orthodox (4-2) and fourth ranked Al Jalil (4-2) on Friday night. Orthodox was defeated by Al Jalil on the road 56-39. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Orthodox. Al Jalil have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Orthodox. Al Jalil is looking forward to face league's leader Al Horiyah in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Orthodox's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Amman Al Riyadi.
Premier League top team - Al Horiyah (6-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Nashama (0-6) 60-45. Undefeated Al Horiyah have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Al Horiyah maintains first position with 6-0 record. Nashama at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Al Horiyah will play against Al Jalil (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nashama will play against Al Awdah (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Irbid was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Al Awdah (3-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Kofer Yoba (1-5). Al Awdah managed to secure a 7-point victory 78-71 on Friday. Al Awdah maintains fifth position with 3-3 record. Kofer Yoba lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Ghazat Hash.. Al Awdah will meet at home bottom-ranked Nashama (#8) in the next round. Kofer Yoba's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Irbid to the arena Ghazat Hash..
Second ranked Al Riyadi (5-1) crushed at home 6th ranked Ghazat Hash. (1-5) by 36 points 102-66, which is the biggest margin this round. Al Riyadi maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Al Horiyah. Ghazat Hash. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. Al Riyadi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Amman to the arena Orthodox.

Kofer Yoba - Al Awdah 71-78

Al Ahli celebrate League 2017/2018 title - 14 days ago
Al Ahli celebrated Jordan Basketball League 2017/2018 title. In the Final stage they beat kafr yoba 82-80 in the last game. Being tied at 62:62 both teams stayed within 1-2 points at the end of the game as Al Ahli grabbed the valuable win. Later Al Riyadi Aramex beat Jazira 82-75 and Orthodox edged Star Jordan 93-82. WABA Champions Cup 2018 relocated to Jordan from Iraq - 3 months ago
West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) officials have announced that the WABA Champions Cup 2018 will be relocated to Jordan from Iraq - with the tournament dates remaining March 12-16. The WABA decided to change the hosting country of the 18th edition of the Champions Cup due to security concerns of the players in Baghdad.
