Orthodox signs Scott Rodgers, ex La Union - Feb 4, 2013

Orthodox Amman (Premier League) signed American guard Scott Rodgers (191, college: Drexel, agency: Dream Team Management). He just played at La Union in Argentinian TNA league. The last season Rodgers played at Los Leones (Liga Nacional) in Chilean league. A very impressive season as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Forward of the Year, named to All-Imports Team and named to 2nd Team.
He ended 2010-11 season at Asociacion Espanola (TNA) in Argentina. In 12 games that season he had very impressive stats: 20.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg. But the most of that year Rodgers spent at Regatas Corrientes (LigaA) in Argentinian league. In 20 games he recorded 4.7ppg.
His team made it to the CAA Tournament Semifinals in 2007.
Rodgers has played previously professionally in Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas) and Chile (Universidad Catolica).
He graduated from Drexel University in 2009 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.

Al Ahli celebrate League 2017/2018 title - 17 days ago
Al Ahli celebrated Jordan Basketball League 2017/2018 title. In the Final stage they beat kafr yoba 82-80 in the last game. Being tied at 62:62 both teams stayed within 1-2 points at the end of the game as Al Ahli grabbed the valuable win. Later Al Riyadi Aramex beat Jazira 82-75 and Orthodox edged Star Jordan 93-82. Al Wihdat overcame AL Jubaiha 102-80.   [read more]

WABA Champions Cup 2018 relocated to Jordan from Iraq - 3 months ago
West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) officials have announced that the WABA Champions Cup 2018 will be relocated to Jordan from Iraq - with the tournament dates remaining March 12-16. The WABA decided to change the hosting country of the 18th edition of the Champions Cup due to security concerns of the players in Baghdad.
