Jordan keep Lebanon winless at the 2012 William Jones Cup. Jordan needed 87:68 win to improve to 1-1 record. Lebanon meanwhile lost the third consecutive game and dropped at 0-3 record.
Lebanon started with 22-16, but failed in the rest of the game. Jordan replied with 23-18 in the second period and reduced to 1 point at the halftime. The third quarter was decisive in the game as Jordan erupted with 33-13 in the third period for a comfortable lead. Both teams nailed 15 points each in the final quarter for the final result.
Rasheim Wright (192-G-81, college: District of Col.) top-scored for the winners with 27 points and Hussein Mohammad collected 22 points and 16 rebounds. Ahmed AL HAMARSHEH followed them with 9 points each in a win. Ahmad IBRAHIM and Elie STEPHAN finished the game with 20 points each. Jarrid Famous (209-C/F-88, college: S.Florida) had 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Ali Kanaan (207-C/F-85, college: Mass.-Lowell) added 10.

WABA Champions Cup 2018 relocated to Jordan from Iraq - 1 month ago
West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) officials have announced that the WABA Champions Cup 2018 will be relocated to Jordan from Iraq - with the tournament dates remaining March 12-16. The WABA decided to change the hosting country of the 18th edition of the Champions Cup due to security concerns of the players in Baghdad. Dinamica Mantova (Serie A2) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old Jordanian ex-international guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Octagon Europe) from Fortituto Kontatto Bologna.
