Jordan finished the Super 4 Israel Sarmiento Cup tournament in Venezuela. The Asian team suffered three losses in as many games. Jordan faced Angola in the final round. Zaid Abbas (203-F-83) put on another impressive scoring performance but could not prevent Jordan from losing the game.
Jordan started the game strongly. They ensured a 22:18 lead ten minutes into the game. Angola however quickly gained control. They outscored Jordan 24:14 in the second quarter to take a 6-point halftime lead. Angola exploded with 27 points in the third period to stretch their lead to 17 points at the final break. Jordan and Angola exchanged baskets throughout the fourth frame as the African team cruised to the victory. Zaid Abbas posted 27 points for Jordan. Mousa Alawadi (188-G-85) added 13 points, while Mohammad Shaher (210-C-90) chipped in 11 points in the loss.   



Al Ahli celebrate League 2017/2018 title - 21 days ago
Al Ahli celebrated Jordan Basketball League 2017/2018 title. In the Final stage they beat kafr yoba 82-80 in the last game. Being tied at 62:62 both teams stayed within 1-2 points at the end of the game as Al Ahli grabbed the valuable win. Later Al Riyadi Aramex beat Jazira 82-75 and Orthodox edged Star Jordan 93-82. Al Wihdat overcame AL Jubaiha 102-80.   [read more]

WABA Champions Cup 2018 relocated to Jordan from Iraq - 3 months ago
West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) officials have announced that the WABA Champions Cup 2018 will be relocated to Jordan from Iraq - with the tournament dates remaining March 12-16. The WABA decided to change the hosting country of the 18th edition of the Champions Cup due to security concerns of the players in Baghdad. It was supposed to be the first time Baghdad hosted a major basketball event since 1988   [read more]
