The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Tokyo HT (7-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Toyoda Gosei (4-4) 71-68. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Tokyo HT. Toyoda Gosei made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Tokyo HT turnovers. Strangely Tokyo HT outrebounded Toyoda Gosei 45-33 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Hiroya Oogane (180-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Tokyo HT's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyoda Gosei maintains fourth place with 4-4 record. Tokyo HT at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Toyoda Gosei are looking forward to face Tokyo Cinq R. (#8) on the road in the next round. Tokyo HT will have a break next round.

It was a good game for American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Justin Herold contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for Otsuka A.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tokyo Excel. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aisin AW. Otsuka A. at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Tokyo Excel. will play against Aisin AW (#5) in Aichi in the next round. Tokyo Excel. was defeated at home 74-82 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Kyle Richardson stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Justin Herold with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Otsuka A. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 5-3 record having just two points less than leader Tokyo HT. Tokyo Excel. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Aisin AW. Otsuka A.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tokyo. First ranked Tokyo HT faced 4th placed Toyoda Gosei. Host Tokyo HT (7-1) smashed guests from Aichi (4-4) 91-60. Brennan McElroy nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-1 record. Toyoda Gosei at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. And finally the game worth to mention about is the one where eighth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (2-6) won against 5th ranked Kagoshima (3-5) on the road by 15 points 84-69 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Andre Murray who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Tokyo Cinq R.'s coach Joe Navarro used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo Cinq R. maintains eighth place with 2-6 record. Loser Kagoshima dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Tokyo Cinq R. will face higher ranked Toyoda Gosei (#4) in Aichi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Other games of round 9 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Aisin AW crushed Tokyo Big Blue in Aichi 81-62. Winless Tokyo Big Blue was smashed by Aisin AW at home 61-93. Tokyo Cinq R. lost to Kagoshima on the opponent's court 88-100.

Tokyo Big Blue - Aisin AW 62-81

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (0-6) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Aisin AW (3-3) 81-62 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was center Eve Nyokozera (199-93) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Watanabe Watanabe (181-89) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Kota Goto (176-94) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aisin AW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tokyo Excel. Tokyo Big Blue lost their sixth game in a row. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tokyo. First ranked Tokyo HT faced 4th placed Toyoda Gosei. Host Tokyo HT (7-1) smashed guests from Aichi (4-4) 91-60. Tokyo HT outrebounded Toyoda Gosei 49-33 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Tokyo HT brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and point guard Yuuki Oki (180-95) accounted for 16 points. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) added 13 points and 10 assists respectively for Toyoda Gosei in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-1 record. Toyoda Gosei at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo .
