Andrew
Fitzgerald
American Andrew Fitzgerald (202-C/F-90) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Kanazawa Sam. and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com B League D2 Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 27-year old had the game-high 29 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Kanazawa Sam. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kagawa FA (#5, 7-12) 77-68. Kanazawa Sam. maintains the 2nd position in their group in Japanese B League D2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kanazawa Sam. will need more victories to improve their 11-8 record. Fitzgerald has many years of experience at Kanazawa Sam., through which he has constantly improved. The University of Oklahoma graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fitzgerald is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.5ppg. Fitzgerald is in league's top in and averages solid 61.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American forward Joe Burton (201-F-90) of Aomori Watts. Burton impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course Aomori Watts cruised to a 81-73 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Yamagata (#4, 8-11). Aomori Watts' 5th position in East has not changed. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Aomori Watts managed to get this year. Burton is a newcomer at Aomori Watts and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 9.9rpg and 5.7apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Herbert Hill (208-F-84) of top-ranked Toyotsu FE. Hill showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Toyotsu FE, leading his team to a 97-78 easy win against the lower-ranked Bambitious Nara (#6, 2-17). Toyotsu FE confirms their top position in West. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 7 lost games. Hill has a very solid season. In 19 games in Japan he scored 13.4ppg. He also has 7.7rpg, 1.3bpg and FGP: 59.1%.

Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
