Ghanian-British Forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-F-88) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Fukuoka Rizing, receiving a Asia-basket.com B League D3 Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Tokyo Cinq R. (#6, 13-21) with 19-point margin 89-70. Fukuoka Rizing maintains the 2nd position in Japanese B League D3. They are still close to the very top. Fukuoka Rizing would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 30-4 record. In the team's last game Bryan-Amaning had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Fukuoka Rizing's top player in his first season with the team. Matthew Bryan-Amaning averages this season 16.8ppg and 7.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old American Brian Harper (208-F-85) of Tokyo HT. Harper had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Tokyo HT to another comfortable win 75-58 over slightly lower-ranked Otsuka A. (#4, 20-14) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tokyo HT consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 23-11 record is not bad at all. Harper is a newcomer at Tokyo HT, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.1ppg (#6). He also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Andrew Fitzgerald (202-C/F-90) of league's top team Kanazawa Sam.. Fitzgerald scored 21 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Kanazawa Sam., leading his team to a 91-57 easy win against the lower-ranked Saitama Bron. (#7, 12-22). Many experts and fans count Kanazawa Sam. as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 31 victories and only three lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Fitzgerald has a great season in Japan. After 42 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.1ppg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
