The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 10 rounds. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Nishinomiya S. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Nishinomiya S. smashed 3rd ranked Tokyo Z in Hyogo 94-55. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 28. They outrebounded Tokyo Z 48-32 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Naoki Tani (193-88) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Larry Owens (201-83, college: ORU, agency: Three Eye Sports) who added 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Nishinomiya S.'s coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Toyotsu FE. Tokyo Z at the other side keeps the third place with 30 games lost. Tokyo Z will play next round against Shinshu BW trying to get back on the winning streak. Nishinomiya S. will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Tokyo Excel. on the road.

Aomori Watts will play against Cyberdyne IR (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a very good performance for Bikramjit Gill who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kagoshima maintains sixth position with 7-43 record. Kagawa FA at the other side keeps the fifth place with 35 games lost. Kagoshima's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Dragonflies in Hiroshima and it may be quite challenging game. Kagawa FA will play at home against Orange Vikings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Fukushima (26-24) against fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (24-26) on Sunday night. Visiting Fukushima was defeated by Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba 83-73. Worth to mention a great performance of Rick Rickert who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Cyberdyne IR's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 24-26 record. Fukushima lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the second place with 24 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face Aomori Watts (#5) on the road in the next round. Fukushima will play against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 52: Gunma lost to Yamagata on the opponent's court 73-78. Shinshu BW was outscored by Bambitious Nara in a home game 65-91. Kumamoto V. recorded a loss to Ehime OV on the road 86-77.

Shimane SM - Hiroshima D. 69-76

Shimane Susanoo Magic (B League D2) signed experienced 35-year old naturalized Brazilian forward Kazuya Hatano (192-97kg-82). It is actually his comeback to Shimane Magic as he has played here before. Hatano played last season at Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa in the B League. In 60 games he had just 2.8ppg and 2.5rpg.
