The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Shimane Magic (38-7) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Kagawa FA (14-32) 81-78. It ended at the same time the 20-game winning streak of Shimane Magic. It was a good game for American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Taku Bandoh (185-92) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for Shimane Magic. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA maintains fifth position with 14-32 record. Shimane Magic at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. Kagawa FA are looking forward to face league's second-placed Dragonflies in Hiroshima in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shimane Magic will play on the road against Orange Vikings in Matsuyama and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Yamagata (24-22) against fourth ranked Aomori Watts (20-26) on Sunday night. Host Yamagata was defeated by Aomori Watts in a tough game in Yamagata 73-78. Worth to mention a great performance of Kenta Tateyama (188-90) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Kyle Barone who added 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Yuichi Ishikawa (173-87) with 6 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Aomori Watts maintains fourth position with 20-26 record, which they share with Cyberdyne IR. Yamagata at the other side keeps the third place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Ehime OV. Aomori Watts will play against league's leader Gunma at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Yamagata will play against Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Gunma (30-16) which hosted in Gunma second-best Fukushima (26-20). First ranked Gunma had an easy win 79-63. The winners were led by Abdullahi Kuso who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Gunma's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds by Nigel Spikes did not help to save the game for Fukushima. Gunma maintains first position with 30-16 record. Loser Fukushima keeps the second place with 20 games lost. Gunma will meet Aomori Watts (#4) on the road in the next round. Fukushima will play against Iwate Big Bulls and hope to secure a win.

It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was Draelon Burns who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nishinomiya S. maintains second position with 32-14 record behind leader Gunma. Toyotsu FE at the other side still keeps top place with 13 games lost. Nishinomiya S.'s next round opponent will be Shinshu BW (#6) in Nagano. Toyotsu FE will play at home against Tokyo Z (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Iwate supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Cyberdyne IR (20-26) played at the court of 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (10-36). Cyberdyne IR will face higher ranked Yamagata (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
