Chapman
American Power forward Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Niigata Albirex, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 46.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Hokkaido L. (#4, 17-28) 96-84. Niigata Albirex maintains the 4th position in their group in Japanese B League. Niigata Albirex is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 20-25 record. In the team's last game Chapman had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Niigata Albirex's top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Texas star has very solid stats this year. Chapman is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.9ppg) and averages impressive 1.9bpg and 40.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old American Reyshawn Terry (203-F-84) of Ryukyu GK. Terry had a very good evening with 42 points and 7 rebounds. It was enough for Ryukyu GK to edge the higher-ranked Sanen (#2, 25-20) 70-67. Ryukyu GK's 5th position in Central has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 21-24 record. Terry is a newcomer at Ryukyu GK, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Marcus Dove (206-PF-85) of Kyoto Hannar. (#4). Dove scored 28 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Dove's great performance Kyoto Hannar. lost 83-89 to #3 ranked Chiba Jets. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Kyoto Hannar. ranking at the top of East, however are very questionable as they have already lost 24 games, recording just twenty one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Dove could help Kyoto Hannar. to bring them higher in the standings. Dove has a very solid season. In 42 games in Japan he scored 12.4ppg. He also has 7.6rpg and FGP: 61.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Michael Parker (202-F-81) of Chiba Jets - 26 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Olu Ashaolu (200-PF-88) of Sanen - 29 points and 15 rebounds
6. Gavin Edwards (206-F/C-88) of SeaHorses - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Davante Gardner (203-PF-91) of Niigata Albirex - 27 points and 6 rebounds
8. Wendell White (198-G-84) of Sendai 89ers - 26 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Nick Fazekas (211-F-85) of Toshiba BT - 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Jerome Tillman (201-F-87) of Nagoya DD - 27 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
