Ryan Stephan
American Center Ryan Stephan (208-C-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for Tokyo Excel., receiving a Asia-basket.com B League D2 Player of the Week award for round 46.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Kagawa FA (#5, 13-31) with 38-point margin 114-76. Tokyo Excel. maintains the 4th position in their group in Japanese B League D2. Tokyo Excel. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 16-27 record. In the team's last game Stephan had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Tokyo Excel.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former Mesa State University star has very solid stats this year. Stephan is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.6ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.9rpg) and averages impressive 56.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old Ryota Nakanishi (199-F/C-88) of Kumamoto V.. Nakanishi had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Kumamoto V. to another comfortable win 92-74 over slightly higher-ranked Fukushima (#2, 25-19) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Kumamoto V. consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 34-10 record is not bad at all. Nakanishi is one of the most experienced players at Kumamoto V. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-C-88) of league's top team Toyotsu FE. Alabi showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, nineteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Toyotsu FE, leading his team to a 74-71 win against #3 ranked Yamagata. Toyotsu FE confirms their top position in East. Their record at this point is 33 victories and 11 lost games. Alabi has a great season in Japan. After 42 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.6ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 13.1rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.4bpg and FGP: 54.1%.

6. Craig Williams (206-C-89) of Ehime OV - 22 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
