Nick Fazekas
Experienced American Nick Fazekas (211-F-85) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Toshiba BT and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 44.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 31 points and seventeen rebounds, while his team beat Kyoto Hannar. (#4, 20-23) 101-90. It allowed Toshiba BT to consolidate first place in the Japanese B League. Toshiba BT have a solid 37-6 record. In the team's last game Fazekas had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Toshiba BT, through which he has constantly improved. The University of Nevada graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fazekas is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.8ppg. Fazekas is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.4rpg) and averages solid 57.5% FGP and 46.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-F/C-89) of league's best team Tochigi Brex. Rossiter impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds. Of course he led Tochigi Brex to another comfortable win 89-70 over the lower-ranked Niigata Albirex (#4, 19-24) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Central. Tochigi Brex consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 34-9 record. Rossiter is one of the most experienced players at Tochigi Brex and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Josh Childress (203-F/G-83) of second-ranked Sanen. Childress scored 25 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Childress' great performance Sanen lost 72-73 to #4 ranked Hokkaido L.. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Sanen needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in East. Their record is 25 victories and 18 lost games. Childress has a great season in Japan. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.7ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 9.3rpg (7th best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 55.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89) of Niigata Albirex - 31 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Julian Mavunga (203-PF-90) of Shiga L-Stars - 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Jeff Ayres (206-F-87) of Toyota Alvark - 24 points and 6 rebounds
7. Gavin Edwards (206-F/C-88) of SeaHorses - 17 points and 8 rebounds

9. Dexter Pittman (208-C-88) of Toyama Grouses - 14 points and 10 rebounds
10. Isaac Butts (208-C-89) of SeaHorses - 6 points and 21 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
