Eskisehir Basket (TBL) tabbed 29-year old American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-104kg-88, college: New Mexico State). He started the season at Toyota Alvark in Japanese B League. In 26 games he averaged impressive 17.2ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.3apg this season. Gillenwater ended the last season at Bucaneros in Venezuelan LPB where in two games he had 5.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.0spg. But the most of that year he spent at LG Sakers in South Korean KBL. In 51 games he was second best scorer with remarkable 26.2ppg and recorded 9.0rpg (#4 in the league) and 1.7apg.
Among other achievements Gillenwater's team made it to the WAC Tournament Semifinals in 2009 and 2011. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Korean KBL Honorable Mention award in 2015.
Gillenwater is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Gillenwater has played previously professionally in Cyprus, Israel, Puerto Rico (Piratas), Russia (Spartak Primorie Vladivostok), South Korea (Goyang Orions) and Turkey (Konyaspor).
He attended New Mexico State until 2011 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball.
