Matthew
Bryan-Amaning
Ghanian-British Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-F-88) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Fukuoka Rizing and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com B League D3 Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 28-year old forward had the game-high 36 points adding nine rebounds for Fukuoka Rizing in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Tokyo Cinq R. (#6, 10-16) with 27-point margin 84-57. It allowed Fukuoka Rizing to consolidate first place in the Japanese B League D3. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid 23-3 record. In the team's last game Bryan-Amaning had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Fukuoka Rizing's top player in his first season with the team. Matthew Bryan-Amaning averages this season 16.9ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-F-89) of second-ranked Kanazawa Sam.. Bishop impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Kanazawa Sam. to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Aisin AW (#5, 12-14) 103-57. Kanazawa Sam.'s second position in the standings has not changed. His team belongs to top of the standings with 22-2 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Bishop is a newcomer at Kanazawa Sam. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Kyle Richardson (201-F-91) of Otsuka A. (#3). Richardson scored 28 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Otsuka A., leading his team to a 98-63 easy win against the lower-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (#9, 2-22). Otsuka A. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 8 lost games. Richardson has a great season in Japan. After 34 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.4ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 11.1rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Andrew Fitzgerald (202-C/F-90) of Kanazawa Sam. - 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

10. R.J. Slawson (206-F-92) of Tokyo Cinq R. - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
