Fazekas is one of the most experienced players at Toshiba BT and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.3ppg (#2). He also registered 10.8 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was American center JR Sakuragi (206-C-76) of league's top team SeaHorses. Sakuragi showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the last round. He was a key player of SeaHorses, leading his team to a 93-91 win against the lower-ranked Shimane SM (#6, 8-45). SeaHorses confirms their top position in West. Sakuragi has a great season in Japan. 26-year old forward Darnell Martin (198-F-91) had a great game in the last round for Kagoshima and receives a Interperformances B League D3 Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage). He had a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Saitama Bron. (#5, 2-6) with 23-point margin 91-68. Kagoshima maintains the 4th position in Japanese B League D3. He had a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Saitama Bron. (#5, 2-6) with 23-point margin 91-68. Kagoshima maintains the 4th position in Japanese B League D3. Kagoshima is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 4th lost game this season out of 8 games. In the team's last game Martin had a remarkable 72.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kagoshima's top player in his first season with the team. Cal State - Dominguez Hills graduate has very impressive stats this year. Martin is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.7ppg), rebounds (7th best: 9.6rpg), assists (8th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 57.1% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Justin Herold (203-PF-91) of Tokyo Excel.. He is American forward in his first season at Tokyo Excel.. In the last game Herold recorded impressive double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Tokyo Excel. to another comfortable win 92-76 over the lower-ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (#6, 1-7) being unquestionably team leader. Tokyo Excel.'s 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Herold is a newcomer at Tokyo Excel. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#5). He also registered 11.1 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Drew Martin (203-F-94, agency: Court Side) of Tokyo Cinq R. (#6). Martin scored 29 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was a key player of Tokyo Cinq R., leading his team to a 90-85 win against the higher-ranked Tokyo Excel. (#3, 5-3). Tokyo Cinq R. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-7 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Martin he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Martin has individually a great season in Japan. After 40 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.1ppg (7th best), rebounds with 7.7rpg (7th best) and assists with 2.0apg (8th best).
