Tyler Stone
American Tyler Stone (203-PF-91, agency: Diamond Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Chiba Jets and that's him to receive a Court Side Player of the Week award for round 38.
The 25-year old power forward had a double-double of 31 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team crushed Nagoya DD (#2, 21-17) with 19-point margin 94-75. Chiba Jets maintains the 3rd position in their group in Japanese B League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chiba Jets will need more victories to improve their 25-13 record. Stone turned to be Chiba Jets' top player in his first season with the team. Tyler Stone averages this season 16.8ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old Zimbabwean power forward Julian Mavunga (203-PF-90, agency: Pensack Sports) of Shiga L-Stars. Mavunga impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Shiga L-Stars to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Sendai 89ers (#6, 10-28) 102-75. Shiga L-Stars' 6th position in West has not changed. 30 lost games are too many comparing to just eight victories Shiga L-Stars managed to get this year. Mavunga is well-known by Shiga L-Stars fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 8.4rpg and 3.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Nick Fazekas (211-F-85) of top-ranked Toshiba BT. Fazekas scored 27 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Fazekas' great performance Toshiba BT lost 81-84 to #3 ranked Osaka Evessa. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Toshiba BT had another "accident". It may be a crucial gamestill good, but 6th lost game is hopefully really an accident. Fazekas' teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Fazekas has a great season in Japan. After 37 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.8ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.2rpg (2nd best). He also has FGP: 58.7% and 3PT: 43.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Robert Sacre (213-C-89) of Hitachi SR - 19 points and 15 rebounds
5. Ryan Rossiter (204-F/C-89) of Tochigi Brex - 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Kosuke Kanamaru (193-F/G-89) of SeaHorses - 33 points and 2 rebounds
7. Josh Harrellson (208-F-89) of Osaka Evessa - 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Davante Gardner (203-PF-91) of Niigata Albirex - 22 points and 10 rebounds
9. Wendell White (198-G-84) of Sendai 89ers - 27 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Isaac Butts (208-C-89) of SeaHorses - 12 points, 19 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Court Side. Court Side is the global leader in basketball management, and is widely regarded as the most dynamic and innovative company of its kind. It was the first Basketball Agency to launch its own website, and the first to have its own database. Court Side has more agents and manpower within its organization, than any other competitor, and its international network of basketball contacts is still unparalleled.
