Rick Rickert
American Rick Rickert (211-C/F-83) put on an amazing game in the last round for Cyberdyne IR, receiving a Asia-basket.com B League D2 Player of the Week award for round 37.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 19 rebounds, while his team crushed Kagoshima (#6, 5-31) with 25-point margin 87-62. Cyberdyne IR maintains the 5th position in their group in Japanese B League D2. Cyberdyne IR is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-22 record. In the team's last game Rickert had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Cyberdyne IR's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Minnesota star has very solid stats this year. Rickert is in league's top in points (2nd best: 18.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.4rpg) and averages impressive 51.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old American Alan Wiggins (206-F-85) of Aomori Watts. Wiggins had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Aomori Watts lost that game 75-85 to the higher-ranked Toyotsu FE (#1, 26-10). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Aomori Watts still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 16-20 record. Wiggins is a newcomer at Aomori Watts, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#9). He also registered 9.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-C-88) of Yamagata (#3). Sanders-Frison got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . He was a key player of Yamagata, leading his team to a 85-81 win against the lower-ranked Shinshu BW (#6, 10-27). Yamagata needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Central. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 17 lost games. Sanders-Frison has a very solid season. In 35 games in Japan he scored 13.1ppg. He also has 10.6rpg and FGP: 50.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Solomon Alabi (216-C-88) of Toyotsu FE - 17 points and 20 rebounds
5. Andy Ogide (204-F-87) of Bambitious Nara - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Yoshihumi Nakajima (176-G-90) of Ehime OV - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Jeroen van der List (213-C/F-89) of Shinshu BW - 17 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Cedric Bozeman (198-G-83) of Fukushima - 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Rodney Carney (201-F-84) of Toyotsu FE - 27 points and 4 rebounds
10. Terrance Woodbury (201-G-87) of Bambitious Nara - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
