Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano (BJ League) tabbed 34-year old American power forward Eric Walton (204-107kg-79, college: San Jose State). He has played for the last two years at Rochester RazorSharks (PBL) in the U.S.. In 8 games last season he averaged 9.5ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.6apg.
In 2006 (two years after he left the college) Walton was drafted by Fort Worth Flyers (D-League) in ninth round (100th overall).
The former San Jose State star is in his ninth season in pro basketball. Walton played in the final of PBL in 2010 and 2012.
Among other achievements he received USBasket.com All-PBL Honorable Mention award in 2011.
Walton is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina (Estudiantes Olavarria), Canada (Niagara DD), France, Mexico (Lechugueros), USBL (Dodge City L.), Japan (Osaka Evessa and Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa) and CBA (Indiana AC).
Lets have closer look into Waltons outlook: Eric is an extremely athletic player (he competed at the collegiate level in track and field in both the high jump and long jump) who can score (from the post or the perimeter) and rebound. Eric, a very strong man is not afraid of physical contact, plays the game with great intensity and a high level of effort.
