Sendai 89ers (BJ League) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American guard Maurice Hargrow (193-91kg-83, college: Minnesota, agency: Top Notch Sports). He played most recently at Chiba Jets (BJ League). In 49 games last season he recorded very impressive stats: 21.6ppg, 6.3rpg, 3.2apg and 1.2spg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese BJ League Honorable Mention.
The previous (10-11) season Hargrow played at Qatar Sports Club (D1) in Qatari D1.
His team made it to the Qatar Emir Cup final in 2008.
Hargrow is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Austria (Raiffeisen Wels), Luxembourg (Amicale), United Kingdom (Cheshire Phoenix), Qatar (Al Arabi) and ABA (Minnesota R.).
Hargrow attended University of Minnesota until 2006 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: An outstanding athlete who has great quickness and can explode to the goal, also a good on-the-ball defender.
Can play in the 1, 2 and 3 positions, his main strength is his ability to get to the basket and draw fouls

Jamie Andrisevic , who served as an assistant coach for the Kyoto Hannaryz last season, has been hired as the new bench boss of the Hiroshima Dragonflies, the B. Shiga Lakestars (B League) will be led by experienced 52-year old Australian coach Shawn Dennis from Tochigi Brex. He helped them to win the league title. Dennis used to coach New Zealand Women National Team back in 2009. He has coached also professionally for other Australian teams like Illawarra Hawks, Perth Wildcats and Townsville Crocodiles. Kilsyth Cobras (SEABL) inked 31-year old former Australian international guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona, agency: Babcock Sports). He played most recently at Hiroshima Dragonflies in Japanese B League D2. In 63 games he recorded 11.9ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.6apg last season.
