Anthony
McHenry
American Anthony McHenry (202-SF-83) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Okinawa GK and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com BJ League Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 29-year old had a double-double of 20 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team crushed Kyoto Hannar. (#6, 12-12) with 23-point margin 87-64. It allowed Okinawa GK to consolidate first place in the Japanese BJ League. Okinawa GK have a solid 19-3 record. McHenry has many years of experience at Okinawa GK, through which he has constantly improved. Anthony McHenry averages this season 15.0ppg and 9.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 31-year old American forward Michael Parker (202-F-81) of second-ranked Shimane SM. Parker impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds. Of course Shimane SM cruised to a 103-95 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (#4, 15-8). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Shimane SM consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 16-7 record is not bad at all. Parker is well-known by Shimane SM fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#4). He also registered 10.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American T.J. Cummings (205-F-81, agency: Top Notch Sports) of Sendai 89ers (#8). Cummings got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . He was a key player of Sendai 89ers, leading his team to a 90-75 easy win against the lower-ranked Saitama Bron. (#11, 2-19). The chances of Sendai 89ers ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Cummings could help Sendai 89ers to bring them higher in the standings. Cummings has a very solid season. In 5 games in Japan he scored 25.2ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Joe Werner (201-C-84) of Chiba Jets - 20 points and 12 rebounds
5. Lawrence Blackledge (206-F-86) of Iwate Big Bulls - 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Adrian Thomas (200-F-87) of Hamamatsu P. - 26 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Chris Holm (212-C-84) of Niigata Albirex - 16 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Dominique Keller (203-F-88) of Gunma - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Brandon Freeman (191-G-83) of Shimane SM - 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Marquin Chandler (202-F-82) of Chiba Jets - 30 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
