American forward Kevin Galloway (200-F-88, agency: Top Notch Sports) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Hamamatsu P., receiving a Asia-basket.com BJ League Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 24-year old player recorded a triple-double of 19 points addeding also 15 rebounds and 16 assists, while his team outclassed Miyazaki SS (#8, 1-7) with 56-point margin 139-83. Hamamatsu P. is placed at 2nd position in Japanese BJ League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hamamatsu P. will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Galloway had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hamamatsu P.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former Texas Southern University star has very solid stats this year. Galloway. Galloway is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.6rpg) and averages impressive 52.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Hamamatsu P.'s star - 25-year old American Adrian Thomas (200-F-87). Thomas had a very good evening with 41 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course together with Galloway he helped Hamamatsu P. with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Miyazaki SS (#8, 1-7) 139-83. This victory allowed Hamamatsu P. to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Thomas is a newcomer at Hamamatsu P., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Dominique Keller (203-F-88) of Miyazaki SS (#8). Keller showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Keller's great performance Miyazaki SS lost 83-139 to the higher-ranked Hamamatsu P. (#2, 7-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Miyazaki SS can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Keller he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Keller has individually a great season in Japan. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.9ppg (6th best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 50.9%. Keller attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Larriques Cunningham (198-G-88) of Miyazaki SS - 33 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Carlos Dixon (201-F-81) of Iwate Big Bulls - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Michael Parker (202-F-81) of Shimane SM - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Wendell White (198-G-84) of Oita H.Devils - 19 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Dillion Sneed (203-C-84) of Iwate Big Bulls - 31 points and 8 rebounds
9. Reggie Okosa (208-F/C-80) of Iwate Big Bulls - 21 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Reginald Warren (204-F-81) of Fukuoka Rizing - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
