JX Sunflowers take 2-0 Final lead to make one step away from the title. The winner of the Regular Season beat Toyota 77:60 in Game 2.
The game was mostly controlled by JX Sunflowers. Toyota A. managed to win second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JX Sunflowers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota A.'s 30.
The former international swingman Rika Tanaka (173-G/F-82) stepped up and scored 16 points and 4 assists for the winners and power forward Lynn Kibayashi (184-C/F-89) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five JX Sunflowers players scored in double figures. At the losing side international guard Emi Kudeken (165-G-84) responded with 17 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Kazumi Suzuki (177-F-86) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Japan - Serbia 87:62 Japan celebrated the second straight victory in France. They rallied past Serbia in Nice. Naho Miyoshi (165-G-93) scored 13 points to lead the winners. France - Japan 67:70 Japan celebrated the first victory at the international friendly tournament in Nice. They beat France in the opener. Yuka Mamiya (185-F-90) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Japan sank 23 points in the opening quarter to take a one-point lead. Les Bleues pulled ahead in the second frame. The Jayco Australian Opals have survived their toughest clash against Japan in the three-game warm-up series, winning 84-73 after trailing by a point at half-time.
