JX Sunflowers take 2-0 Final lead to make one step away from the title. The winner of the Regular Season beat Toyota 77:60 in Game 2.
The game was mostly controlled by JX Sunflowers. Toyota A. managed to win second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JX Sunflowers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota A.'s 30.
The former international swingman Rika Tanaka (173-G/F-82) stepped up and scored 16 points and 4 assists for the winners and power forward Lynn Kibayashi (184-C/F-89) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five JX Sunflowers players scored in double figures. At the losing side international guard Emi Kudeken (165-G-84) responded with 17 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Kazumi Suzuki (177-F-86) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

USA - Japan 110:64 Team USA eased into the semifinal stage in Rio de Janeiro. They fired past Japan in the quarterfinal battle. Brazil - Japan 87:74 Brazil overcame Japan in the exhibition clash. Clarissa Dos Santos (184-C-88) and Erika De Souza (197-C-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) posted 20 points each lead the winners.
