Superleague is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 11 rounds left.

Leader Al Shurtah delivered the tenth win on Monday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Al-Tadamoun (4-7) 106-67 in Baghdad. Al Shurtah maintains first place with 10-1 record. Al-Tadamoun lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Al Shurtah are looking forward to face Al Karkh (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Al-Tadamoun will play against Iraqi Airways and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Baghdad: Al Nift (#2) and Iraqi Airways (#9). Iraqi Airways were crushed at home by 19 points 71-90 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Al Nift have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-2 record behind leader Al Shurtah, which they share with Nift Al-Janoub. Newly promoted Iraqi Airways keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Al Nift will play against An Nasiriyah (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Iraqi Airways will play against Al-Tadamoun in Najef and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Baghdad: Al Kahraba (#5) and Al Suleikh (#11). Al Suleikh was crushed at home by 33 points 63-96 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al Kahraba (8-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al Mina. Al Suleikh at the other side dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with An Nasiriyah and Zakho. Al Kahraba will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Suleikh will play against Al Mina (#5) in Basra and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 11 Al Hilla crushed An Nasiriyah in a road game 81-55. Al Mina beat Al Karkh at home 117-99.

An Nasiriyah - Al Hilla 55-81

There was no surprise when 11th ranked An Nasiriyah (1-10) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Al Hilla (6-5) 81-55 on Friday. Al Hilla moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al Karkh. An Nasiriyah at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Zakho and Al Suleikh. Al Hilla will meet at home higher ranked Nift Al-Janoub (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. An Nasiriyah will play against the league's second-placed Al Nift (#2) and hope to win that game.
