Mychal Kearse signs at Al Karkh - Nov 6, 2012

Al Karkh (D1) landed 29-year old American guard Mychal Kearse (195-93kg-83, college: Mt.St.Marys, agency: Gamble Sports Management). He played most recently at Akita Northern Happinets in Japanese BJ League. In 30 games last season he averaged 8.8ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg. Kearse also played at CSU Sibiu in Romanian Division A that season. In 12 games he had very impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.2apg and 1.4spg.
The previous season he played for Dallas Stars in the UBA. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to USBasket.com All-UBA 1st Team and All-UBA Playoff 2nd Team.
Kearse attended Mt.Saint Marys University, MD until 2007 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.

Al Kahraba Electricity (Superleague) inked 28-year old former international center Malik Nahi (210-88). It is actually his comeback to Baghdad as he has played here before. Nahi played most recently at Al Karkh in the Superleague. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Al Mina (Superleague) landed 31-year old former international swingman Mustafa Hamzah (188-85) from Al Karkh. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Domestic Player of the Year, selected to 1st Team and selected to All-Domestic Players Team.
