Riyadi posted the third straight win at the Asia Club Championship. The Lebanese side overcame Duhok to improve at 3-0 record. Ahmad Ibrahim (202-G/F-92, college: Rice) nailed 33 points to pace the winners. Duhok fell at 0-2 record in the loss.
Riyadi secured a strong start. They cleared off to a 24:4 advantage at the first break. The Lebanese team fired 29 points in the second quarter to boost the gap. They ensured a 53:17 halftime lead. Riyadi maintained the lead throughout the third frame. The Lebanese powerhouse entered the fourth quarter up by 46 points. Riyadi never looked back in the final period and rallied to the victory at the end. Ahmad Ismail (205-F/C-76) contributed 16 points and 9 rebounds, while Amir Saoud (188-G-91) added 10 points for the winners. Antonio Webb (178-G-84, college: Beth.-Cookman) answered with 17 points for Duhok. Kendall Dartez (207-C/F-80, college: Louisville) delivered 10 points and pulled down 9 rebounds in the losing case.

Al Nift Baghdad (Superleague) signed 22-year old American forward Shaheed Davis (206-95kg-94, college: Cent.Florida). He already started the season at DBL Sharks Sheffield in British BBL league, but left the team in Oct.'16. In four games he had very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.5bpg this season. Newly promoted Zakho (Superleague) added to their roster 28-year old American forward Denzel Jackson (198-88, college: American International). He played most recently at Island Storm in Canadian NBL. Jackson won APBL championship title. He was selected to APBL All-Star Game in 2015. Al-Tadamoun (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American forward Tre Johnson (203-102kg-91, college: Hawaii-Hilo) from Al Nift. The last season Johnson played at Gmunden Swans in Austria A Bundesliga where in 34 games he recorded 7.3ppg and 3.9rpg.
