Shahrdari Tabriz crowned Champions in Iran as they edged Mahram Tehran 85:73 in the decisive 5th game. They grabbed a 27-16 lead at the end of the first period and led 14 points at the halftime. Mahram Tehran was too far to give up and came back with a massive 27-16 burst in the third quarter, while Shahrdari Tabriz posted a 20-11 run in the last stanza to seal the victory.
Jourdan Demuynck (198-G-90, college: Prairie View A&M) top-scored for the winners with 26 points and Hrvoje Puljko (193-G-83, agency: Mansfield and Associates) netted 15. Aren Davoudi (185-PG-86) and Rouzbeh Arghavan ended up with 14 points each in a win. Jacob Pullen (184-PG-89, college: Kansas St.) replied with 25 points in a loss and Arnett Moultrie (208-F/C-90, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) as well as Hamed Hoseinzadeh had 12 each.

Ararat Tehran have won Division One title as they edged Naft Omidieh in the Finals. In the decisive game they posted a 64-59 win. Trailing 12-18 at the end of the first period, Ararat Tehran came up with a 20-13 run and then dominated the second half. They won the third period 12-11 and closed the game with a final 20-17 rally.   [read more]

Iranian hoopsters defeat Syria in FIBA Asia U18 WABA qualifier 2018 - 9 days ago
The Iran men's national under-17 basketball team has recorded its third victory at the Federation Internationale de Basket-ball (FIBA) Asia U18 West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) qualifier 2018 in Jordan, after trouncing Syria in the continental tournament. On Tuesday evening, the Iranian team clinched a 106-47 victory over the Syrian squad at Prince Hamza Arena in the Jordanian capital city of Amman.
