There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in Superleague. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

An interesting game for Petrochimi (7-1) which hosted in Bandar Imam 3rd placed Chemidor (3-4). First ranked Petrochimi had an easy win 112-81. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 31 points. Petrochimi shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 68.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for international Behnam Yakhchali (196-95, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 8 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). American swingman James White (201-82, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Daequan Cook (195-87, college: Ohio St.) answered with 27 points and 5 rebounds for Chemidor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Petrochimi have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-1 record. Chemidor at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Kashan. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
An interesting game for Naft Abadan (6-1) which hosted in Abadan 3rd placed Tabriz (2-3). First ranked Naft Abadan had an easy win 106-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tabriz. International Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-90, agency: Three Eye Sports) stepped up and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Meisam Mirzaei chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-84) with 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Tabriz's coach Mehran Hatami gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Naft Abadan. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Tabriz at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Naft Abadan will play against Army (#4) in Tehran in the next round.
