Azad University Tehran (Superleague) signed 29-year old Australian ex-international center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-113kg-88, college: Vanderbilt). He is a dual citizen owning also Irish passport. Ogilvy He started the season at Hawks in Australian NBL league. In 34 games he had 11.1ppg, 7.6rpg (#2 in the league), 2.6apg, 1.0spg and 1.5bpg this season. Ogilvy helped them to make it to the final. A very impressive season as he was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Center of the Year, named to 1st Team and named to All-Domestic Players Team. The last summer he played at Manati in Puerto Rican BSN where in 22 games he recorded 14.5ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.4apg and 1.2spg. Quite impressive season as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Honorable Mention.
Ogilvy won German Bundesliga championship title in 2013.
He was also a member of Australian international program for some years. Ogilvy played for Australian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2013 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2007.
He also represented Australia at the Oceania Championships eight years ago. Ogilvy's team won Gold but his stats at that event were not that remarkable as he did not score anything.
Ogilvy is quite experienced player. He has played on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Ogilvy has played previously professionally also in Spain (Valencia Basket and La ICL Manresa), Turkey and Germany (Brose Baskets).
He attended Vanderbilt University until 2010 and it is his seventh season as a professional player.
