Hassanzadeh
26-year old power forward Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-PF-90, agency: Three Eye Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Naft Abadan and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Kashan (#7, 7-8) 91-82. Naft Abadan maintains the 2nd position in Iranian league. They are still close to the very top. Naft Abadan would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 12-3 record. In the team's last game Hassanzadeh had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Naft Abadan and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Hassanzadeh has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 9.9rpg) and averages solid 56.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was James White (201-F/G-82, agency: Three Eye Sports) of top-ranked Petrochimi. He is American swingman in his first season at Petrochimi. In the last game White recorded impressive 27 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Petrochimi to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Gorgan (#9, 3-12) 84-55. Of course Petrochimi still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 13 matches. White is a newcomer at Petrochimi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Sean Williams (208-F-86) of Tabriz (#4). Williams scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Tabriz, leading his team to a 80-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Army (#8, 4-11). Tabriz needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 6 lost games. Williams has a great season in Iran. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.1rpg (4th best). He also has 4.1bpg and FGP: 53.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Zvonko Buljan (206-C-87) of Kashan - 27 points and 8 rebounds
5. J.P. Prince (203-G/F-87) of Azad - 20 points and 7 assists
6. Payam Kiani) of Chemidor - 24 points and 7 rebounds
7. Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-PG-94) of Naft Abadan - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Reza Ranjbar) of Shiraz a.s Pipe - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Asghar Kardoust (212-C-86) of Arak - 16 points and 10 rebounds
10. Saman Taherpour (203-PF-91) of Shiraz a.s Pipe - 16 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
