Ivan
Koljevic
32-year old point guard Ivan Koljevic (187-PG-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kashan and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 34 points adding four rebounds and eight assists for Kashan in his team's victory, helping them to beat Shiraz a.s Pipe (#10, 0-12), the league's bottom-ranked team 87-77. Kashan is placed at 7th position in Iranian league. Kashan is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-7 record. In the team's last game Koljevic had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Kashan's top player in his first season with the team. Koljevic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.0ppg), assists (3rd best: 4.3apg) and averages solid 55.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Amir Allahverdi of Shiraz a.s Pipe. He is a in his first season at Shiraz a.s Pipe. In the last game Allahverdi recorded impressive 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Shiraz a.s Pipe lost that game 77-87 to the higher-ranked Kashan (#7, 5-7). Shiraz a.s Pipe are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Allahverdi is a newcomer at Shiraz a.s Pipe and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Kashan's star - center Masoud Soleimani (207-C). Soleimani scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was another key player of Kashan, helping his team with a 87-77 win against Shiraz a.s Pipe (#10, 0-12). The chances of Kashan ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Soleimani could help Kashan to bring them higher in the standings. Soleimani has a very solid season. In 12 games in Iran he scored 9.9ppg. He also has 5.8rpg and FGP: 70.4%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Hamzeh Aghajari (185-F-87) of Shiraz a.s Pipe - 31 points and 3 rebounds
5. Sean Williams (208-F-86) of Tabriz - 12 points and 15 rebounds
6. Asghar Kardoust (212-C-86) of Arak - 13 points and 13 rebounds
7. James White (201-F/G-82) of Petrochimi - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Meisam Mirzaei (210-C-92) of Naft Abadan - 13 points and 15 rebounds
9. Nikola Gacesa (206-F-87) of Tabriz - 22 points and 7 rebounds
10. J.P. Prince (203-G/F-87) of Azad - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
