American Forward Sean Williams (208-F-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for Tabriz, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Kashan (#8, 4-6) 79-64. Tabriz maintains the 5th position in Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tabriz will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Tabriz's top player in his first season with the team. Former Boston College star has very solid stats this year. Williams is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.3rpg), assists (8th best: 2.9apg) and averages impressive 4.3bpg and 55.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old international power forward Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-PF-90, agency: Three Eye Sports) of Naft Abadan. Hassanzadeh had a very good evening with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Naft Abadan to another comfortable win 89-75 over Shiraz a.s Pipe (#10, 0-10) being unquestionably team leader. Naft Abadan's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Hassanzadeh is well-known at Naft Abadan and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Daequan Cook (195-G-87) of Chemidor (#6). Cook got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . He was a key player of Chemidor, leading his team to a 77-75 win against the lower-ranked Gorgan (#9, 2-8). Chemidor needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Cook has a very solid season. In 4 games in Iran he scored 28.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mohammad Torabi (211-C-92) of Army - 18 points and 9 rebounds
5. Filip Toncinic (212-C/F-84) of Gorgan - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Gerald Robinson (185-PG-89) of Petrochimi - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Saman Taherpour (203-PF-91) of Shiraz a.s Pipe - 14 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Javad Davari (185-G-83) of Chemidor - 21 points and 4 rebounds
9. Doron Perkins (189-G-83) of Naft Abadan - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Rawle Marshall (201-SF-82) of Gorgan - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
