There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tehran: Army (#8) and Azad (#4). Azad was defeated at home 62-68 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Azad was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 15-8 charge of Army, which allowed them to win the game. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Army forced 28 Azad turnovers. The former international center Mohammad Torabi (211-92) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Vahid Dalirzahan (199-95) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side international Adnan Doraghi (190-89) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Army (4-6) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kashan. Azad at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Tabriz. Army is looking forward to face higher ranked Naft Abadan (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Azad will play against Shiraz a.s Pipe and is hoping to win this game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Bandar Imam. First ranked host Petrochimi (9-1) defeated their biggest opponent Arak (7-3) 74-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Arak. American point guard Gerald Robinson (185-89, college: Georgia) notched 23 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and James White supported him with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by international center Asghar Kardoust (212-86) did not help to save the game for Arak. Petrochimi have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-1 record. Arak at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Naft Abadan. Petrochimi will play against Kashan (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Arak will play against Shahrdari Gorgan (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Shiraz a.s Pipe (0-10) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to third ranked Naft Abadan (7-3) 89-75 on Thursday evening. Mohammad Hassanzadeh fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Saman Taherpour produced 14 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Naft Abadan moved-up to second place, which they share with Arak. Shahrdari Gorgan will play against the league's second-placed Arak (#2) and hope to win that game.
