Faison
Esteghlal Qeshm (Superleague) inked 35-year old Belgian ex-international guard Marcus Faison (196-90kg-78, college: Siena). Player arrived a week ago and after passing his medical tests he joined his team. Faison played recently at Armia in Georgian Superleague. In 10 Superleague games this season he recorded 8.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.0spg. Faison also played 6 games in EuroChallenge where he averaged 6.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.2apg. The last season he played at Petron Blaze (PBA) in Filipino PBA (15.2ppg, 5.4rpg). Faison also played at Kryvbasbasket in Ukrainian Superleague earlier that season. In 13 games he averaged 8.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg. The other team he played that season for was VOO Verviers-Pepinster (Ethias League) in Belgian Ethias League. In 11 games he averaged 10.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg.
The former Siena College star is in his 13th season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Faisons team won Ukrainian Superleague Regular Season in 2008. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Honorable Mention award back in 2008. Faison represented Belgium at the European Championships in Lithuania two years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 8.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.6apg, FGP: 27.3%, 3PT: 45.5%, FT: 75.0%.
Faison is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany, Greece (Peristeri GS Athens), Spain (Unicaja Malaga), Turkey (Besiktas) and Ukraine (Dnipro and BC Kyiv).
