Foolad Mahan hand Petrochimi their first loss in the League. Foolad grabbed an 82:80 win for 9-2 record, while Petrochimi dropped at 10-1 record. Asghar Kardoust (212-C-86) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Chris Williams (199-F/G-80, college: Virginia) netted 17. Veisi Saman added 12, while Davari Javad notched 9. Sani Becirovic (196-G-81) erupted with 27 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds, while Afagh Hamed brought 16.
Mahram improved to 9-2 record after the win over Gorgan 98:68. Mahdi Kamrani (186-PG-82) stepped up with 29 points and Hooman Rezaei (208-C-81) as well as Mashayekhi Sajjad had 15 each. Bani Aghil Mojtaba replied with 17 points, while Vartan Bidroosian (195-F-83) had 11.
In another games Azad beat Esteghlal 85:65 and Sanaye Petrochimi overcame Zanjan 61:60. Naft Sepahan did not leave any chance for Al Badr in a 100-88 victory.

TEHRAN (2016 FIBA Asia U18 Championship) - Iran reclaimed their spot atop the continent by claiming the title at the 2016 FIBA Asia U18 Championship with a 71-65 victory over Japan. Mehran Rezaei led the way with 18 points for Iran while Mohammad Jafari scored 16 points and Amirhossein Rezaeifar picked up 10 points and 12 rebounds as Iran won their first FIBA Asia U18 crown since 2008. Guizhou signs David Young, ex Samen - 1 month ago

Guizhou (NBL) signed experienced 35-year old American swingman David Young (196-81, college: N.C.Central). He played last season at Samen in Iranian Superleague. In only one game he recorded very impressive stats: 16 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. In 2004 Young was drafted by Seattle SuperSonics (NBA) in second round (41st overall).
