Mahram ensured the spot in the Asia Club Championship Final. They overcame Duhok in the semifinal battle today. Mahdi Kamrani (186-PG-82) stepped up with 23 points to lead the winners. Mahram will take on Riyadi in the championship game on Monday.
Duhok secured a 19:18 lead after ten minutes. Mahram increased the tempo in the second frame. The Iranian powerhouse surged ahead to ensure a 45:38 halftime lead. Mahram posted 24 points in the third stanza and secured a 12-point buffer before the fourth frame. Mahram knocked down 24 points in the final stanza to seal the winning outcome. Samad Nik Khahbahrami (199-F-83) posted 19 points, while Ratko Varda (215-C/F-79, agency: Beo Basket) added 17 points and 9 rebounds for Mahram. Kendall Dartez (207-C/F-80, college: Louisville) answered with 17 points for Duhok. Ali Ismael (200-PF-94) and Antonio Webb (178-G-84, college: Beth.-Cookman) finished with 13 points each in the loss.
