Anyang KGC hand Iran the second straight loss at the 2012 William Jones Cup. The South Korean team won 82:73 and tied both records at 5-2.
Iran started with 27-14 but could not keep the advantage. They nailed only 7 points in the second period and allowed the South Korean team to post 16. Moreover the latter produced 29-11 in the decisive third period and did not mind the late run from the opponents. Iran won the last period 28-23 but could reduce only to 9 points.
Lee Jung-Hyun (191-F-87) stepped up with 24 points to lead the winners to the 5th victory. Stutz Garrett (212-C-90, college: Wichita St.) nailed 17, while Pattillo Juan (197-F-88, college: W.Kentucky) posted 10. Samad BAHRAMI finished the game with 19 points in the losing effort and Hamed Afagh (190-SG-83) had 16. Asghar Kardoust (212-C-86) brought 15, while Mehdi KAMRANI nailed 12.
