Kevin
Loiselle
Canadian Kevin Loiselle (198-F-88) put on an amazing game in the last round for Pacific Caesar and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 28-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and ten rebounds, while his team crushed Bima Perkasa (#10, 1-11) with 24-point margin 83-59. Pacific Caesar maintains the 5th position in Indonesian IBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Pacific Caesar will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. In the team's last game Loiselle had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Pacific Caesar, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Loiselle has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 23.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 13.3rpg), assists (6th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 1.3bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American guard Falando Jones (193-G-90) of Hang Tuah. Jones impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Hang Tuah lost that game 74-79 to the higher-ranked Aspac (#4, 9-4). This loss caused Hang Tuah to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Hang Tuah and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.8ppg (#1). He also registered 6.6 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Pacific Caesar's star - American David Seagers (188-G-88). Seagers showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Pacific Caesar, helping his team with a 83-59 easy win against the lower-ranked Bima Perkasa (#10, 1-11). Pacific Caesar needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Seagers has a great season in Indonesia. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.9ppg (9th best) and assists with 5.9apg (2nd best). He also has 2.4spg and FGP: 50.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Pierre Henderson-Niles (203-F-87) of Aspac - 10 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Kore White (205-F-89) of Pelita Jaya - 23 points and 12 rebounds
6. JaJuan Smith (188-G-85) of Hang Tuah - 20 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Raheem Singleton (182-PG-89) of JNE BSC - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Tyrell Corbin (184-PG-92) of Bima Perkasa - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Christian Ronaldo Sitepu (200-C-86) of Satria Muda - 9 points and 3 assists
10. Gjio Bain (211-C-85) of Bima Perkasa - 6 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

CLS Knights Ride in Shining Armor to Bring ABL Glory back to Indonesia - 22 days ago
After a two season hiatus from the ASEAN Basketball League, Indonesia is ready to return with CLS Knights Surabaya leading the charge. The last time Indonesia fielded a team in the ABL was back in 2014 with two teams: the Indonesia Warriors and Laskar Dreya South Sumatra. Both sides failed to make the playoffs and the ABL hasn't had a club from Indonesia since. Now Indonesia is back, represented by the proud CLS Knights Surabaya   [read more]

SEA Games: Indonesia come from behind to beat Singapore 70-54 - 2 months ago
They came into the game high on confidence. And for most part of the game, they stayed on top. But 12 missed free throws and an inability to execute plays properly down the stretch cost the Singapore national basketball dearly, leading them to a 54-70 defeat by Indonesia and dropping the side to a 2-1 record. A win would have seen them secure a spot in the semi-finals and also avoid powerhouse Philippines in the knockout stage. The match was also a repeat of the semi-finals in the 2015 SE...   [read more]
