The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Satria Muda (9-1) in Jakarta on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked JNE BSC (4-7) 58-53. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Satria Muda. Satria Muda trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 19-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 53-58 at the end of the game. JNE BSC held Satria Muda to an opponent 22.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 48.0 percent accuracy of the winners. JNE BSC forced 20 Satria Muda turnovers and had a 35-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JNE BSC made 10 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Chris Brand (208-90, college: Lincoln, PA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 7 blocks and point guard Raheem Singleton (182-89, college: Maine) who added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Even a double-double of 22 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals by American point guard Tyrell Corbin (184-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) did not help to save the game for Bima Perkasa. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Satya Wacana maintains eleventh position with 1-12 record. It was Bima Perkasa's ninth loss in a row. They keep the tenth place with ten games lost. Satya Wacana will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
