Dom Williams
Point guard Dom Williams (180-PG) had a very impressive game in the last round for Aspac and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 40 points adding four rebounds and seven assists for Aspac in his team's victory, helping them to outclass NSH GMC (#8, 5-7) with 27-point margin 102-75. Aspac is placed at 3rd position in Indonesian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aspac will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He just recently signed at Aspac and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Central Washington University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.0ppg. Williams is in league's top in assists (4th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 54.5% FGP and 40.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Nate Barfield (206-F/C-88) of NSH GMC. He is American forward in his first season at NSH GMC. In the last game Barfield recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as NSH GMC lost that game 75-102 to the higher-ranked Aspac (#3, 8-4). This loss caused NSH GMC to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Barfield is one of the most experienced players at NSH GMC and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.2ppg (#3). He also registered 14.9 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another NSH GMC's star - guard Gary Jacobs (188-PG-92). Jacobs showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in the last round. Despite Jacobs' great performance NSH GMC lost 75-102 to the higher-ranked Aspac (#3, 8-4). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of NSH GMC ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jacobs could help NSH GMC to bring them higher in the standings. Jacobs has a great season in Indonesia. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.6ppg (5th best) and assists with 5.6apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Falando Jones (193-G-90) of Hang Tuah - 35 points and 4 rebounds
5. Dechriston McKinney (203-F-92) of CLS Knights - 20 points and 17 rebounds
6. Nate Maxey (211-C-92) of Satya Wacana - 12 points, 21 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Kevin Loiselle (198-F-88) of Pacific Caesar - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
8. David Seagers (188-G-88) of Pacific Caesar - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
9. JaJuan Smith (188-G-85) of Hang Tuah - 8 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Pringgo Regowo (190-PF-87) of Aspac - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

CLS Knights Ride in Shining Armor to Bring ABL Glory back to Indonesia - 22 days ago
After a two season hiatus from the ASEAN Basketball League, Indonesia is ready to return with CLS Knights Surabaya leading the charge. The last time Indonesia fielded a team in the ABL was back in 2014 with two teams: the Indonesia Warriors and Laskar Dreya South Sumatra. Both sides failed to make the playoffs and the ABL hasn't had a club from Indonesia since. Now Indonesia is back, represented by the proud CLS Knights Surabaya   [read more]

SEA Games: Indonesia come from behind to beat Singapore 70-54 - 2 months ago
They came into the game high on confidence. And for most part of the game, they stayed on top. But 12 missed free throws and an inability to execute plays properly down the stretch cost the Singapore national basketball dearly, leading them to a 54-70 defeat by Indonesia and dropping the side to a 2-1 record. A win would have seen them secure a spot in the semi-finals and also avoid powerhouse Philippines in the knockout stage. The match was also a repeat of the semi-finals in the 2015 SE...   [read more]
